Run, don’t walk to the Supper Club. You can thank me later. Oh and the City Lights bookstore is kind of a necessity but you prolly already knew that.

I don’t know if the Supper Club is in the cards, although maybe I can check it out tomorrow night. I spent the day in the Haight yesterday (which was awesome), and will probably run around the Castro today.

Quid and I walked in the rain looking for that church last year, only to find out they’d moved it to a new location. Hope you had better luck.
I saw “Milk” 2 weeks ago, and it made me really miss the Castro!

I did find it (in a storefront on Fillmore). There are all of these awesome Orthodox-esque paintings of Coltrane, the music was great, and I actually enjoyed the service… there was this whole Gnostic vibe which was quite interesting.
Actually thought of you yesterday; I was hanging out in the Castro with my friend L. (she’s on MeFi as well, as gingerbeer), and we drove past the Safeway that you and I visited around midnight to drunkenly procure Twinkies for quiddy. Good times.

Memories of that night are foggy at best, but I do remember the Twinkie Expedition, and Wesley Willis playing at the bar as we were leaving. I think I tipped them a dollar just for playing it. Man, what a crazy awesome night!

I had forgotten about the Wesley Willis thing! Did we drunkdial MCT before or after that? I too have hazier memories than I would like; I rarely drink, so it hits me pretty hard when I do indulge.
